Residents continued to rely on a variety of state-executed welfare programs, whether in the form of stimulus checks or tax rebates. Here's which states will continue their assistance!

Next year, residents of these six states may receive supplemental stimulus checks. Several of these payments are associated with programs that began in 2022 but will not conclude until 2023.

Specific requirements, such as timely tax filing, must be met to receive these payments, and some of these benefits may not be delivered to recipients until May 2023, according to Washington Examiner.

Here Are The States That Will Continue Providing Stimulus Checks

1. California - Many Californians have already received the Middle Class Tax Refund, despite the fact that approximately 5% of recipients are still waiting. By the end of next month, the final waves of direct deposits and state-issued debit cards will be distributed.

2. Colorado -  Numerous Coloradans received their payments prior to September 30, while those who requested an extension will receive theirs by January 31 of the following year. This payment will be either $750 for single filers or $1,500 for married couples filing jointly.

3. Idaho -  The Gem State approved 2022 Special Session rebates on September 1, and they will all be distributed by March 31, 2022. Depending on which amount is greater, full-year residents will receive $300 for single filers and $600 for joint filers, or 10% of the tax amount reported on a taxpayer's 2020 income tax liability.

4. New Jersey - The amount received by New Jersey homeowners will depend on their income, with those earning less than $150,000 receiving $1,500 and those earning between $150,000 and $250,000 receiving $1,000. Renters will also receive a rebate, though they must earn less than $150,000 annually and will only receive a $450 rebate.

5. Pennsylvania -  Since July, Pennsylvania has provided payments to recipients of its property tax/rent rebate program. Those who have not yet submitted their claim for this rebate have until December 31 to do so.

The rebate is intended for Pennsylvanians aged 65 or older, widows and widowers aged 50 or older, and individuals with disabilities aged 18 or older. Moreover, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, the annual income cap for this rebate is $35,000 for homeowners and $15,000 for renters.

6. South Carolina - Residents who file their 2021 SC Individual Income Tax Return by October 17 will receive this refund before the end of the year. Residents who file their returns by February 15, 2022, will receive this refund in March 2023.

Will IRS Send Stimulus Checks in 2023?

The IRS issued a bulletin on November 22, 2022, addressing the impact of the absence of stimulus checks on the current tax year, as people were beginning to wonder what assistance they might receive in 2023. Refunds may be reduced in 2023, stated the memo.

Due to the lack of Economic Impact Payments for 2022, taxpayers will not receive an additional stimulus payment with their 2023 tax refund, as per Marca. Due to a lack of bipartisan support, it is unlikely that additional federal funds will be forthcoming shortly, although some lawmakers are attempting to move forward with more assistance for parents.

This is unfortunate news. The good news is that millions of people could still potentially receive stimulus payments in two years, The Ascent via MSN reported.
