A disturbing Katy Perry viral video that showed something that worried many people is currently being circulated online.

Katy Perry reacted on some outlandish speculations on the cause of her eye's apparent twitching during a recent performance.

Last week, the 'Teenage Dream' singer was performing in an outfit made of soda cans and aluminum tabs during her Las Vegas residency when it was noticed that she was actively trying to pull her eyelid up.

On social media, some fans suggested that Katy Perry was a robot or had even been cloned, while others came to the conclusion that the singer was only experiencing an eyelash glue failure. In an Instagram photo with the title "POV: when you see new 2023 PLAY dates," Perry mocked the situation.

"Welcoming all my #flatearthers #spaceisfakers #birdsarentrealers #skyisntbluers to come see my broken doll eye party trick IRL in Vegas next year," Perry wrote with a video of the performance, Today reported.

The Grammy-nominated performer continued by describing what fans may anticipate: "The set list is a pleasant trip down memory lane that takes us all the way back to 2008, a time when we weren't all paralyzed by the anxiety of our own echo chambers!"

On the internet, reactions to the occurrence were divided. Others have cited the mRNA injection as the cause, while some have made jokes about a clone problem. The viral video was only a gimmick, the pop star said on Thursday, and was simply a part of the show's performance.

Not everyone agreed with Katy Perry's justification for what took place. One person commented on her post, "This post looks like a diversion."

"Evidently, that wasn't a party trick, one person said. Even though she was perfectly aware of how to open the lid, it kept shutting. I watch for her taking a break" to receive therapy or to postpone dates if the treatment is ineffective," one commented.

"Sorry, but as a doctor, a minor stroke was my initial assumption. It's very likely, but there are a number of alternative possibilities, from a straightforward muscular spasm to a medication response," another person stated, as per News Punch.

Katy Perry in Las Vegas

In December 2021, Katy Perry started her residency at Play in Las Vegas, and she instantly won praise for the "highly camp" act, in which Perry emerges from a huge toilet and engages in conversation with a talking mask.

It follows the singer's recent joke that she frequently gets mistaken for herself when attending mother and baby classes with her daughter Daisy Dove, 2, because other mothers in the group comment that she "looks just like Katy Perry." The singer and her fiancé Orlando Bloom have a two-year-old daughter together. When Katy Perry initially went to Los Angeles 18 years ago and was "broke," she was openly honest and said she used to pretend to be Zooey Deschanel.

Per Daily Mail, physical similarities between the singer and the actress have long been observed, and Katy Perry has acknowledged that she had little issue convincing people that she was Zooey Deschanel to obtain entry to clubs.

Zooey Deschanel recently appeared in Katy Perry's music video for her single 'Not The End Of The World' as an extraterrestrial abductee who is mistaken for the hitmaker. This time, their similarities were exploited to their advantage. On Instagram Live, Katy Perry and Zooey Deschanel recently talked about Katy's prior antics and the new video. Katy Perry also apologized for "misrepresenting" Zooey Deschanel by acting crazy while out pretending to be her.
