Former Golden State Warriors guard Damion Lee made a successful debut in Phoenix by helping the Suns rise above their arch-nemesis.

The Phoenix Suns defeated the Dallas Mavericks 107-105 when Damion Lee sank a fadeaway jump shot with ten seconds remaining in the game clock.

The Suns overcame a 22-point deficit, including 15 in the fourth quarter, to beat the Mavs, per NBC Sports. The internet erupted with responses after the game-winning jumper of Damion Lee that allowed the Suns to beat one of their nemesis in the Western Conference, led by Luka Doncic, who showcased an outstanding performance.

Steph Curry Got Pumped Up

Phoenix was out for vengeance after a painful playoff loss last season. The game was headlined by an emerging animosity between Devin Booker and Luka Doncic.

Lee's ex-teammate and current Golden State Warrior superstar Steph Curry was among those fired up watching the exciting match. During Wednesday night's game between the Dallas Mavericks and the Phoenix Suns at Footlocker Center, Steph Curry was elated to see the game conclude.

After Lee made a game-winning basket against the Dallas Mavericks late on Wednesday night, Curry posted his reaction to the play on his social media page. Steph Curry yelled at the top of his lungs after Damion Lee made an off-balance jumper on the baseline that put the Suns up 107-105 and virtually ended the game. However, his wife Ayesha's seems disgusted on his loud reaction.

Curry was cheering Lee's shot out loud and shouting that he did not care who he was disturbed at that time of night. In the video, last season's Finals MVP said, "The kids are asleep!" I couldn't care less, so keep at it!" Then, almost instantly, the Warriors star was notified by his wife that he had unintentionally awakened their son, Canon. Stephen Curry expressed regret: "I woke him."

In the end, the Suns wouldn't have won the game without Lee's contributions, no matter how funny it was to see Curry celebrate his brother-in-law's shot that sealed the game. Damion Lee is married to Sydel Curry, Stephen Curry's sister.

Damion Lee's Winning Mentality Praised

The Suns came back from a 20-point halftime deficit, 62-43. After playing only 20 minutes, Lee finished with 11 points (all in the fourth quarter), according to Sporting News.

Damion Lee hit three 3-pointers: one to keep the Suns in striking distance, another to trim Mavs lead to one with under four minutes to go, and a third to push the Suns' advantage to four with under two minutes to go.

Phoenix Suns superstar guard Devin Booker lauded the Warriors for developing a winning mentality that Lee brought to The Valley. It's obvious that, despite no longer being teammates, Stephen Curry will continue to give Damion Lee a boost whenever it's necessary.

Suns' court general Chris Paul spent the final minutes of the game on the bench while Lee and Cam Payne saw action. Meanwhile, fans posted their reactions about the unforgettable sports moment in the Valley on social media, per Arizona Sports.
