Brad Pitt is responding to recent allegations of abuse made by his ex-wife, actress Angelina Jolie, who is also accused of conducting a "smear campaign" against her ex-husband.

In court, Brad Pitt's team addresses Angelina Jolie's charges of assault against him. Jolie revealed claims that Brad Pitt had abused her and their children in a case that was submitted to a court in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Bard Pitt choked one of the children and punched another in the face on a flight from France to Los Angeles in September 2016, according to the most recent document in the former unhappy couple's legal battle over a French winery they bought in 2008. Brad Pitt grabbed Angelina Jolie by the head and gave her a shake.

Brad Pitt Lawyer: Jolie's Claims Are 'Personal Attack'

The 'Maleficent' actress claims Brad Pitt, 58, spilled beer on her and red wine on their six children, who were then between the ages of 8 and 15, in a drunken frenzy. The kids were between the ages of eight and fifteen at the time. Before they even boarded the plane, Brad Pitt allegedly accused Jolie, 47 of being extremely servile to the children.

Pitt's counsel, Anne Kiley, did not make clear which details of Angelina Jolie's story Pitt disputes and which he accepts responsibility for, and when pressed, reps declined to comment further. According to reports, Angelina Jolie and the kids hid beneath blankets until Pitt slept off to escape Pitt's fury.

Five days after the alleged confrontation, which has been the focus of numerous media investigations and an FBI investigation, Jolie filed for divorce. After receiving an anonymous tip, federal investigators looked into the claims but decided not to press charges, as per Fox News.

The FBI and the Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services both opened investigations into the alleged incident, but both files have subsequently been closed without Pitt having been charged. Brad Pitt has been the target of every kind of personal assault and misinformation, but he won't own anything he didn't do, according to Kiley, who added that Brad has owned everything he's accountable for from day one, unlike the other side.

Before a judge ruled that they were both legally single while going through a divorce in 2019, the former couple had been married for almost five years. Jolie said in the filing that Pitt physically abused two of their kids and that the actor yelled at her and pushed her down again as soon as the plane touched down, according to Yahoo.

Jolie Accused of Conducting 'Smear Campaign'

A source close to the actor claims that Brad Pitt has been the target of a slander campaign launched by his ex-wife Angelina Jolie. A source claimed that their family has suffered a severe toll as a result of her constant attempts to depict him as a child abuser.

Brad Pitt was married to Friends actress Jennifer Aniston from 1999 until 2005 before starting a romance with Angelina Jolie. Angelina was previously married to Johnny Lee Miller from 1996 to 1999 and to Billy Bob Thornton from 2000 to 2003. After six years of litigation, Angelina and Brad are still at odds over who will have custody of their children, Express reported.

Regarding Brad Pitt's version of what happened on that aircraft, this has mostly consisted of disputing the assertions made by his ex-wife. A source close to the celebrity indicated shortly after the occurrence that he was treating the situation seriously and maintains that he did not harm his children.

The actor maintained that he did not strike son Maddox in the face and that the only contact he made was around his shoulder, even though Pitt was drunk and there was a row between him and Angelina Jolie, the same source did concede that.

Pitt's pals have asserted that Jolie has been trying to prolong their legal proceedings to prevent him from receiving equal custody of their younger children. A legal agreement about the ownership of their French winery was not essential between two sensible individuals, according to Jolie's account of Pitt's statement during their most recent court battle, as per Daily Mail.
