According to officials, the child's cause of death is unclear, and information on how the infant died is unknown at this time. The Virginia Beach Detective Bureau, on the other hand, is looking into this matter as a suspicious death. Based on a search warrant , a friend of the child's mother, Leandra Andrade, contacted Virginia Beach Police after receiving a text message from Andrade in which she stated, "They would gaze down on [the friend] from heaven."

Andrade also used the past tense when commenting about her 2-year-old kid on Instagram. After Andrade texted a friend about her whereabouts, officers arrived at the property and discovered Andrade unconscious and her kid dead at the Cutty Sark Motel. Police used Narcan to save Andrade's life before transporting her to Virginia Beach General Hospital for treatment.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, Andrade departed Washington, DC, last week following a custody dispute and was last seen in the city on Friday. The MPD was made aware of Andrade's possible presence in Virginia Beach, prompting the VBPD to offer help, WTVR reported.

On Sunday, police in Virginia Beach, Virginia, claimed they were notified by Leandra Andrade's friends, who were worried about her Instagram posts. She was blogging on the social networking app about her marital problems and her divorce from her husband.

She also used the past tense to allude to her two-year-old daughter, saying, "I'm so sorry, baby." Fabio Andrade, the toddler's father, recognized her as Lanoix. Police said Andrade was discovered in a serious condition in a hotel room in Virginia Beach early Monday, with her daughter deceased in the same room.

The judge granted Andrade interim shared physical custody, allowing Lanoix to spend the weekend with her mother. The reason for death and the mother's strange condition remain unknown while police await the findings of an autopsy, as per Mirror.

Virginia Girl's Father Expressed Concern About Her Safety During Trial

In March, a parent told a Washington, D.C., area newspaper that he was worried about his wife's worsening mental health and worried about his daughter's safety when she was with her mother. According to the search warrant, Leandra Andrade also posted images of her daughter on Instagram and referred to Lanoix in the past tense.

Fabio and Leandra Andrade's custody dispute began on March 17 when the father filed an emergency application for temporary custody in Washington, D.C. The family court Investigators got a copy of that emergency application, which showed Fabio Andrade telling the judge that his wife was in "mental anguish" and that he was concerned she might endanger herself and their kid.

Leandra Andrade's severe shift in conduct, including heightened paranoia, shutting off communication with close family members, and forcing her spouse to reside in the basement, were all mentioned in the petition. According to her husband, Leandra attempted suicide twice as an adult in 2004 and 2007.

Court documents reveal that Fabio Andrade stated that his wife kept the suicide attempts a secret from him, and he was notified of them by her aunt, who was also worried about Leandra Andrade's shift in behavior. Fabio Andrade said that his relationship with his wife had deteriorated to the point that he had to contact the Metro Police Department on her on March 16 after she awakened him up by shining a flashlight in his face and began interrogating him.

Arriving officers discovered that Leandra Andrade had filed a police report against her husband the week before and ended their interaction with the couple by arresting Fabio Andrade under the department's second citation policy. He was released from custody and the case against him was dismissed later that day, according to Wavy.
