In a recent interview, Brad Pitt opens up about a rare condition, which has never been officially diagnosed, that leads people to think he is “disrespectful.”

In an interview with GQ, Brad discussed the ailment, which has never been formally diagnosed.

The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star admitted that he has trouble remembering new individuals in social settings, particularly at parties. The actor feels ashamed of his affliction and worries it makes him appear distant, aloof, unreachable, and self-absorbed. This is not the first time Brad has claimed to have prosopagnosia.

Brad Pitt Speaks Out About Rare Condition, Messy Divorce

"Nobody believes me! I wanna meet another," the 58-year-old actor told GQ's Ottessa Moshfegh. He replied when the journalist mentioned that her husband believes he has the same unusual disease.

Brad Pitt spoke up about his life following his ugly divorce from Angelina Jolie in the same GQ interview. The Fight Club star said that he became clean and attended Alcoholics Anonymous sessions for a year and a half.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been feuding since they divorced in 2016 after only two years of marriage. Earlier this month, the Oscar winner accused his ex-wife of selling her stake in his vineyard to inflict pain on him.

Brad has accused his ex of seeking to harm him by surreptitiously selling her part in his French vineyard to a Russian billionaire with poisonous intents, according to legal documents obtained by the Daily Mail.

The plot involved taking entire control of Brad's multi-million dollar firm. The former couple agreed to sell their $164 million French houses in September, paving the door for the Girl, Interrupted star to sell her part of the Chateau Miraval.

Maddox, 20, Pax, 18, Zahara, 17, Shiloh, 16, and Vivienne and Knox, 13 are the children of the feuding parents. Lawyers for the mother of six previously accused the Seven star of abusing his "celebrity" position to modify their parenting agreement. Brad received joint custody of their children in May 2021, as per The Scottish Sun.

Angelina Jolie, who shares custody of their six children with Brad, cited irreconcilable differences in the divorce papers, but the couple went on to endure a highly publicized and exceptionally bitter divorce as they fought for their shared assets and custody.

An alleged argument aboard the family's private jet between Brad Pitt and his eldest son Maddox, who was 15 at the time, was at the heart of the custody struggle. Maddox is said to have testified against Brad in court during his parents' feud.

Following the allegations, the FBI examined Brad Pitt, who allegedly informed officials that, while he had yelled at his son, he had not intended to physically hurt him, Angelina, or any of their children.

He was eventually absolved of the accusations, but Angelina Jolie stated in October 2021 that she was broken over the horrific protracted custody fight and that she worried for the safety of her whole family during her marriage, according to Yahoo.

What Is Prosopagnosia?

A 2017 study discovered that children who were considered underweight when they were born are expected to do worse when it comes to remembering faces as they grow older. Researchers believe that having a low birth weight is connected to delays in the development of sections of the brain, especially those dealing with visual information.

About 2.5% of the population is considered to be afflicted, with comedian Stephen Fry and former Health Secretary Patricia Hewitt among those who have claimed to have facial blindness.

Brad also delivered a dismal appraisal of the human condition in his GQ interview as he moves on from the breakdown of his five-year marriage to actress Angelina Jolie.

The Hollywood actor resumed abstinence shortly after their divorce was finalized in 2016, and added that his newfound optimism is tempered by the understanding that we all face heartbreak at some time in our lives.

Despite his overwhelming sense of loneliness, he acknowledged discovering connection and camaraderie as a result of his choice to abstain from alcohol in 2016. After his divorce, the actor attended regular Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for 18 months, according to the group's essential principles of abstinence from all mind-altering drugs, Daily Mail reported.
