Missing Harmony Montgomery’s family has been warned that they might be afraid to find out the truth and the girl’s chances of survival after authorities searched an apartment linked to her abusive father.

The New Hampshire renter who lives in an apartment that used to belong to Harmony Montgomery's father and stepmother has revealed some of the items searched earlier this week by an FBI-led search team.

As part of the ongoing hunt for Harmony, investigators paid a visit to the 644 Union Street residence in Manchester on Tuesday. A Hillsborough County District Attorney's Office representative cautioned against speculation regarding the relevance of the evidence officers were observed taking out of the property.

Authorities Reveal Further Details in Harmony Montgomery's Case

He said detectives will not provide any further information after they left the scene on Wednesday, citing the continuing investigation. In photos and videos, detectives are seen removing a refrigerator and other evidence and peering through a manhole cover outdoors.

The current renter, known only as Ginger, informed Boston 25 News that detectives replaced the refrigerator, doorknobs, and faucets with new ones. They also examined attentively in the bedroom closet and broke out bathroom drywall to investigate the pipes, according to her.

When Fox News Digital called the address's phone number, the individual who answered the phone hung up after the reporter introduced himself. Ginger told Boston 25 that she thought the refrigerator had been replaced since Harmony's father and stepmother moved out.

Harmony, now eight, went missing from her father's care in 2019, according to officials, but no missing person report was made until late last year when her noncustodial mother discovered she had never been enrolled to attend school in her father's hometown, Fox News reported.

According to a veteran FBI agent, processing and analyzing the evidence - including a refrigerator - seized from the former house of a missing girl's father will take a while, meaning weeks. Earlier this week, it appeared like the world might finally get answers about what happened to Harmony Montgomery, an eight-year-old girl who vanished in 2019.

Investigators Intrigued with Small Closet in Adam Montgomery's Old Apartment

No one reported her missing until December 2021, allegedly due to a series of purported blunders. The time of her disappearance has been narrowed down by police to November 28 to December 10, 2019, but the months-long search has been futile and stressful.

That was until Tuesday when an unsettling development in the case appeared. Local, state, and federal law officers surrounded the Manchester, New Hampshire house where Harmony's father Adam Montgomery, and his estranged wife Kayla had lived. For almost 24 hours, police were stationed outside the house. "We needed answers, and now we're terrified," Blair Miller, who adopted Harmony's younger brother Jamison, told The Sun last week.

Jennifer Coffindaffer, a former FBI agent with over three decades of expertise, estimates that it will take "a while, meaning weeks." She told The Sun on Friday that she had never seen a full refrigerator stolen from a house. There were also closet parts removed, as per The Sun.

Ginger suspected it was a modern item that was not present when the Montgomery family lived there. The statement has not been confirmed or rejected by the police. The kitchenette and hallway had tiles removed, but Ginger claims that investigators were mainly interested in a small closet in the bedroom.

According to court records revealed earlier this year, on November 18, 2021, police got a phone from Harmony's birth mother, Crystal Sorey, who reported her daughter was missing. Sorey informed police that Harmony's father had physical custody of her and that she couldn't contact him. Sorey went on to say that she lost custody of Harmony in 2018 due to drug problems. According to Sorey, Adam Montgomery barred her calls and social media and refused to let her talk to Harmony after Easter 2019, according to Crime Online.
