The Commonwealth is looking to obtain what they believe are incriminating phone calls made by Hernandez while incarcerated.

Via the Associated Press:

"Prosecutors are seeking recordings of Hernandez's jailhouse phone calls, in which he allegedly communicated about the case in 'coded messages' and discussed his belief about his criminal liability.  They also want a judge to order the Bristol County sheriff to turn over records of visits related to Hernandez's jailhouse visitors."

Hernandez is charged with first-degree murder and five gun-related offenses in the homicide of Odin Lloyd.  Hernandez, 24, pleaded not guilty to all the charges and is being held without bail while awaiting trial.

Investigators also recently linked Hernandez and Alexander Bradley, a friend now suing Hernandez for allegedly shooting him in the eye, to an unsolved double homicide in Boston from 2012.

A recently-released search warrant indicates Hernandez and Bradley were linked to the shooting through video surveillance footage, which appears to show both men in the SUV believed to have been used in the drive-by shooting.

The search warrant doesn't name Hernandez and Bradley as the shooter, but it does indicate police believe both men were in the SUV when someone in the vehicle opened fire on another vehicle.

The shooting left Daniel Jorge Correia de Abreu and Safiro Teixeira Furtado dead.

Nobody has been charged yet in the double murder.
