Alexander Bradley, the man who accused former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez of shooting him last February, was shot multiple times outside a nightclub on the Sunday.  Bradley is expected to survive his injuries and hasn't been charged in the incident, the Associated Press reports.

The incident occurred on Sunday night outside Vevo Lounge Bar & Grill in Hartford, Conn.  Bradley was shot multiple times in his right thigh; he then took a firearm from a car and returned fire.  Police responded to the incident, found Bradley with multiple gunshot wounds and took him to a local hospital.

Police did not immediately release Bradley's condition, but he's expected to survive.  No other injuries were reported, and no arrests have yet been made.

The shooting appears to have stemmed from an altercation inside the club.

"Evidence revealed there was a disturbance in the club that was pushed outside by staff," police Lieutenant Brian Foley said, via the Associated Press.  "At this point, Bradley was shot.  Bradley went to a vehicle, got a gun, then shot up the front of the club."

It's uncertain if Bradley will face any charges.

Bradley is the complainant in an ongoing lawsuit against Hernandez.  Bradley, a former friend of the ex-NFL star, alleges Hernandez shot him in the face last February in Florida, resulting in the loss of vision in one eye.

Hernandez pleaded the Fifth Amendment in response to the accusations contained in the lawsuit.  Hernandez, 24, is currently being held without bail while awaiting trial for the murder of Odin Lloyd.

Hernandez faces life in prison if convicted of first degree murder in the Lloyd case.
