Philip Seymour Hoffman's death came as a shock to many of his adoring fans, with many left asking what will happen to his uncompleted work.

According to Deadline, fans will still get to see the Oscar Award-winning actor in both parts of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay". Hoffman had reportedly seven days left of filming, but Lionsgate has not disclosed what films were left unfinished. Lionsgate, the studio responsible fore creating "The Hunger Games" movie franchise, released the following statement regarding the actor's death:

"Philip Seymour Hoffman was a singular talent and one of the most gifted actors of our generation. We're very fortunate that he graced our Hunger Games family. Losing him in his prime is a tragedy, and we send our deepest condolences to Philip's family."

"Mockingjay: Part 1" is slated to hit theaters on Nov. 21 while "Mockingjay: Part 2" will be released on Nov. 20, 2015.

Hoffman's death will also force Showtime to make a decision about a show pilot for the comedy-drama "Happyish". Hoffman was slated to portray a "disheartened advertising man" in the new show, which only filmed one pilot, according to The Wrap.

"Philip Seymour Hoffman was one of our generation's finest and most brilliant actors," Showtime said in a statement. "He was also a gifted comedic talent. It was a great privilege and pleasure to work with him and we are all absolutely devastated by this sudden loss. Our thoughts go out to his family at this very difficult time."

Hoffman, 46, was reportedly found at his Greenwich Village apartment in New York City with a syringe allegedly filled with heroin still in his arm.

The Washington Post reports anonymous law enforcement officials confirmed Hoffman's death is suspected to be of an overdose. Medical examiner spokeswoman Julie Bolcer told The Post an autopsy is planned to confirm Hoffman's cause of death on Monday.

Hoffman leaves behind three children: daughters Tallulah and Willa Hoffman, and son Cooper Alexander Hoffman.
