As Sunday's big game gets closer, companies are preparing to showcase their newest commercial for their latest products and are reportedly paying a whopping $4 million to be part of the show, the Associated Press reported.

Actors Laurence Fishburne who played Morpheus in "Matrix" will be in Kia's commercial and Scarlett Johansson will be featured in SodaStream's spot, according to the AP.

With the latest controversy regarding the MSNBC tweet in regards to Cheerios commercial featuring a biracial family, that's another one to look forward too in case Cheerios decides to change it up.

Advertisers are surely paying no mind to expenses for the spots being featuring this Sunday which are sure to include celebrity appearances and A-list rock bands, the AP reported.

Companies like Chrysler and Coca-Cola have kept their spots a surprise while others have released versions in anticipation to Sunday, according to the AP.

Professor of brand strategy at Virginia Commonwealth University's Brand Center Kelly O'Keefe says this year will be a great one for advertisers who are doing much better at expressing what their brand is while still entertaining the audience, the AP reported.

"This year there's much more focus on brand personality: the spot has to be both interesting and funny and link back to the core assets of the brand," O'Keefe told the AP. "I'm predicting a stronger Super Bowl than last year."

Because 108 million people are expected to be locked into their television sets for the big game, the Super Bowl is the biggest showcase for advertisers to hone in new customers and bring back old ones, the AP reported.
