After five years of dating model Yvette Prieto and Michael Jordan were married in a luxurious ceremony on Saturday.

The wedding took place at Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Palm Beach, Fla. 500 attendees packed the church to witness Prieto and Jordan tie the knot. For the reception an additional 1,500 friends and family attended an over the top reception at The Bears Club, a golf community designed by Jack Nicklaus where Jordan recently purchased a home.

The reception was held under three enormous tents covering the area of two football fields according to the Miami Herald. An unidentified worker who spoke with the Herald was in awe of the enormity of the reception.

"I calculated a total under-roof space of about 600 feet long by 150 feet wide," the worker said. "I've never seen anything like it. I've been working weddings for a while."

Aerial photos that give some clue to the awesome size of the event can be seen here.

Prieto, 35, is 15 years younger than the former NBA legend and current owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. This is Prieto's first marriage and Jordan's second.

Jordan was previously married to Juanita Vanoy until their divorce in 2006. Forbes referred to it as "the costliest divorce of all time."

The ceremony was attended by Jordan's long time Bulls teammate Scottie Pippen and fellow Dream Team teammate Patrick Ewing. Other attendees included Spike Lee, Tiger Woods and Ahmad Rashad.

An affair of this scale wouldn't feel right with a run of the mill wedding DJ, instead the entertainment was provided by Usher, DJ MC Lyte and Robin Thicke.

Prieto looked stunning in her gown designed by J'Aton Couture especially for her. Photos of the dress and the rest of the wedding can be seen here.

The timing of the wedding could have been quite problematic for Jordan since it is in the middle of the NBA playoffs. Luckily for him the Bobcats finished near the cellar of the NBA and he didn't have to reschedule his trip to the altar.
