There's a new cast member in "Fifty Shades of Grey" and he's sure to give Christian Grey (played by Jamie Dornan) a little bit of competition. Actor Anthony Konechny posted a picture of his Clayton's name badge on Instagram with the caption: "On set 50 Shades of Grey today!! #movie #filming #50Shades #paulclayton."
In December Konechny tweeted that he had accepted the role of Paul Clayton. In E.L. James' novel Paul works with Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) at Clayton's Hardware store. He also has a crush on her. Every chance he gets he asks Ana out on a date but she always turns him down even though she thinks he's a nice guy. Because of his attraction to Ana, Christian doesn't like him.
Konechny is definitely excited to be a part of the film posting on his Twitter account: "Thank you!! #FSOG #teamfifty Cast is amazing to work with, so incredibly talented. You're sure in for a treat come 2015."
Photos from the "Fifty Shades" movie set surfaced online recently and showed Christian and Ana filming at Clayton's Hardware store. The picture was uploaded to Twitter by the Vancouver Delta Police Department.
You'll recall from the novel that Christian and Ana's encounter at the store was the second time they met. The shy, college student is bewildered when the sexy billionaire asks her to show him where they keep cable ties, rope and masking tape.
An innocent Ana believes the supplies are for an at-home project but later discovers that Christian uses the items in his playroom aka the Red Room of Pain.
So who is the newest cast member Anthony Konechny? According to his IMDb page, he can currently be seen on the TV show "Almost Human." He has also appeared on numerous other shows like "Smallville," "The Troop" and "The Tomorrow People."
According to his personal website, besides acting he's really into working out and staying in shape and has even competed in a few physical fitness competitions.
