Two years later, the iPhone launched after 2019 is expected to be equipped with a larger capacity battery. It is  to cope with bigger power consumption.

MacRumors, an Apple analyst firm, cited analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of Taiwan's KGI Securities, which is well-known as an Apple analyst.

In a report to investors this morning, Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that the iPhone will have upgraded 3D sensors and Augmented Reality (AR) -related features since 2019.

That's why an advanced version of the TrueDepth camera is installed, which increases power consumption and requires a large-capacity battery.

Apple also said it would improve space for the battery by improving the semiconductor manufacturing process and infrastructure.

Previously, Ming-Chi Kuo had been working on the iPhone series since the year 2018, including the successor to the iPhone X with 5.8-inch organic light emitting diode (OLED) display, the iPhone X Plus (tentative) with 6.5-inch OLED and the entry-level model with 6.1-inch LCD display. It is expected that the lineup will be developed. He predicts that all three models will be equipped with true-depth cameras.

Also recently, the battery capacity of the next iPhone series will be about 10% higher than the current iPhone (2,716mAh).

Specifically, the 5.8-inch model will include 2,900 to 3,000 mAh batteries, and the 6.5-inch model will have 3,300 to 3,400 mAh batteries.

Ming-Chi Kuo said the two OLED models will have an L-shaped battery, but the LCD model will have an existing square battery.
