"The Walking Dead" Season 7 finale is just around the corner. Fans are speculating about how their favorite series might end its current season.

According to Entertainment Weekly, "The Walking Dead" Season 7 viewers finally saw Rick ready with his army. On the other hand, villainous Negan is well aware of Rick's preparation and has his own plans to execute. 

Showrunner Scott M. Gimple has previously hinted that "The Walking Dead" Season 7 finale is going to be a mixture of everything. There will be both happy moments as well as sad, making it a bittersweet ending.

"I will say it's everything," EW quoted Gimple about "The Walking Dead" Season 7. "It's the highs and lows, brightness and darkness, alpha to omega, a quiet-loud-sad-happy tragic-redemptive circus of emotion, anguish, and grace." 

He added that he wants the viewers to feel all the events and elements coming together in the "The Walking Dead" Season 7 finale. Gimple added that he is hoping that fans will feel the rush similar to a roller coaster finally coasts back to the platform.

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, actress Lauren Cohan, who plays the character of Maggie Greene opened up about the "The Walking Dead" Season 7 finale. She stated that viewers are certainly in for a lot of emotion.

The actress even admitted that she was debating whether she can describe the ending 'poetic'. However, she settled with the terms 'incredibly bittersweet, beautiful, and heartbreaking' when describing the "The Walking Dead" Season 7 finale. 

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 finale will air on April 2, 2017, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC. The episode has been titled as "The First Day of the Rest of Your Life". "The Walking Dead" Season 8 was announced and will premiere in October 2017. Scott M. Gimple will continue to be the showrunner for the upcoming season.
