While scientists are discovering new planets in space it turns out that there could be life on Exomoons outside the Milky Way Galaxy. Scientists are on a new research to find out an exomoon of a gas giant planet, the mission is to figure out if there is liquid water on its surface. If this turns out to be true there is no doubt about it, if there is water there is life.

The biggest moon in the solar system is Jupiter's Ganymede, and it is about five-sixth the size of Mars. NASA had conducted observations from the Hubble Space Telescope in 2015, they later on confirmed the presence of a liquid ocean on Ganymede. NASA scientists have also considered other aspects like the energy sources such as stellar radiation.

According to Space, the situation on Ganymede is described as dangerous for organisms. Though it might have lots of liquid water, the surface could be blotched with devastating volcanoes at the same time. It requires time and intense research to get a hold of the facts to explore Ganymede.

The tidal heating on Ganymede is generated due to the changing gravitational pull of the planet. The tidal heating is known to decrease its rate if a moon is molten inside, but for exomoons it is less clear how habitable they will be in such a system. Moons cannot be stable in the very inner regions of the stellar habitable zone.

Other moons also have tidal heated bodies in our solar system such as, Jupiter's lo and Europa as well as Saturn's Enceladus. With research over the past years scientists have suspected that Europa and Enceladus might have oceans underneath an icy surface of the moon. On the other hand Titan also has a thick atmosphere including liquid hydrocarbon lakes, with further research and observations there might be a possibility for life on exomoons outside the Milky Way.
