WWE’s power couple John Cena and Nikki Bella were then slated to match up finally against real life couples slash longtime rivals, The Miz and Maryse on WWE WrestleMania 33. Yet, tons of rumors that Cena proposing to Bella had been rampant and said to possibly happen on the much-anticipated match.

According to Comic Book WWE, the parody of Bella wanting Cena to propose to her badly that was made by The Miz and Maryse was considered to level up the hype of fans. If the proposal wouldn’t happen, some WWE fans would be disappointed as reported. U.K. betting site Paddy Power was then said to bet that Cena will indeed propose to his longtime girlfriend.

Yet, Cena’s interview with Rolling Stone was then mentioned to stir up emotions regarding his proposal to Bella. He said that “I don’t think it will ever be over with…I don’t want kids, I don’t want marriage." He then put the situation that he is saying "Hey, this is my life and this is how I’m going to live” to himself. Yet, the interview was way back, and nobody could tell whether Cena’s outlook had changed.

Regarding Cena’s uptake on the upcoming WWE WrestleMania 33, he stated that The Miz is softer "than a shoe full of baby crap" that couldn't crush a grape in a fruit fight per Wresting Inc. Cena then added that Mike isn’t needed by the WWE and could be just an actor somewhere else. The 16 time World Champion then concluded that being at his lover’s side just makes him feel happy.

Speculations then said that if Cena and Bella were to leave WWE on a hiatus after a possible proposal, the anticipated match is a great moment that they could leave to WWE fans. On another note, Cena had announced on Twitter that he will be returning to host season 2 of Fox's reality competition, "American Grit" premiering on June 11.
