Samsung is reportedly working on Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for its flagship Galaxy S4, which is expected to roll-out as early as February or March.

Samsung recently started rolling out Android 4.4.2 KitKat for its Galaxy Note 3 LTE, but reports have it that the tech giant is testing the most-awaited update from Google for its flagship Galaxy S4. The latest leaked test builds suggest the Android 4.4.2 update is just around the corner for the Galaxy S4.

According to a report from Sam Mobile, the new test build for Galaxy S4 has improved speed, carries a new firmware and several bug fixes. In addition, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat will feature minor interface changes with statusbar icons changed from "Gingerbread style green to all new awesome KitKat style white" and improved performance. The keyboard layout has also got a tweak with improved landscape orientation for effortless typing.

There has been no official word on the KitKat arrival for Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 models. But a source revealed to Android Geeks that the latest Android update will hit Samsung's 2012 flagships by the end of March, when the Galaxy S4 roll-out completes.

Besides the tweaked user interface and a noticeable transparent status bar, KitKat will bring the ease of printing directly from the smartphones and new full-screen immerse mode, which hides the Android navigation buttons or the status bar on the top to enjoy apps and games in full screen.

These updates will be pushed to all Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and Note 2 devices, but the arrival will vary for owners on different carriers.
