Fans were excited to hear that Taylor Swift has collaborated with former One Direction singer Zayn Malik to record a sexy duet for the upcoming film Fifty Shades Darker.

According to LA Times, the song is titled "I Don't Wanna Live Forever". Taylor also shared a teaser clip of the song with hashtags #fiftyshadesdarker and #idontwannaliveforever on her Instagram account.

Within an hour after sharing the teaser, the single acquired number one position on the iTunes chart. The "Shake it Off" singer immediately shared the success story on Instagram with the caption, "Well that escalated quickly."

The song has been produced by Lena Dunham's partner Jack Antonoff, while the lyrics were penned down by Taylor, Sam Dew, and Jack Antonoff.

It seems like the much loved number finally get to happen with some help from Zayn's girlfriend Gigi Hadid. Zayn pitched the idea of a collab to Taylor knowing Gigi and Taylor are friends. This is why pitching an idea like that was not awkward for him.

During an interview on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, Zayn admitted, "We (Taylor and he) were kind of in separate places when I mentioned the idea to her," he said.

"I spoke to her (Taylor) on the phone, and she heard the song 'cause Jack (Antonoff) had played it to her. She really liked it, and she went in the studio the next day."

Talking about the track, Jack stated on Twitter Taylor and Zayn did not record the song together. He recorded Taylor's part at his house while Zayn sent parts from LA.

Jack however mentioned that the recording was completed in a week. He is very happy how the final result turned out in such a quick time. He is thankful to Taylor, Zayn and Sam.

The scenes along with the song teaser featured Jamie Dornan's character Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson's character Anastasia Steel spending romantic time with each other.
