The tragic demise of Louis Tomlinson's mother definitely pulled off a shock, especially for many One Direction's fans.

Mother of the American rocker Louis Tomlinson, Johanna Deakin was fighting a battle against leukemia and unfortunately was laid to rest at the age of 42.

The singer's previous band One Direction expressed their solidarity with their former band member and the crew have called for a rally behind him on Twitter.

After the news of late Johanna Deakin's death was shared in the public domain, many public figures uttered their honorable sentiments to Tomlinson. Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Liam Payne including the band's co-creator and Guide Simon Cowell also showed that they are grief-stricken and that Louis Tomlinson has their constant support.

Mrs Deakin would have turned 43 next week. The leukemia, which entangled Tomlinson's mother is described as very aggressive, ultimately taking her life.

Zayn Malik took it to Twitter and shared his condolences. He wrote to Tomlinson

"Proud of your strength and know your mum is too."

Payne and Horan also tweeted extended words of support while Simon Cowell reacted "heartbroken" and remembered what an 'incredible person' Deakin was.

Harry Styles is yet to comment on a public forum.

Earlier this month, Louis Tomlinson was gearing up to set foot on his solo career. Like the rest of his previous crew, he was determined to kick off his solo professional career, according to British platform The Sun.

"Louis is a brilliant songwriter and had not initially planned his own solo career," an unnamed source reportedly told The Sun. "But he's been back in the studio and has been working on some really amazing music."
"He's played some to the powers that be at Syco, who are really excited," they said. "They think he could be a real success as a solo artist, given his proven ability to write hit records and massive fanbase as part of 1D."
