Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor reportedly fired his agent, Jerome Stanley.  Stanley made headlines in December for his accusation that Raiders coach Dennis Allen wanted Pryor to fail in order to justify having started rookie Matt McGloin in six of the final seven games.

"Terrelle Pryor fired his agent, who publicly criticized the team for playing Pryor in Week 17," Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports tweeted on Wednesday.  "He has not yet hired a new agent."

Pryor lost his starting job after spraining his right MCL on Nov. 10 against the New York Giants.  Despite Pryor eventually getting healthy, Allen kept the former Ohio State standout sidelined in favor of playing McGloin.

McGloin went on to start the next six games, losing all but one game.  Allen then chose to reinsert Pryor as the starter under center for the regular season finale against the Denver Broncos.

Allen's choice didn't sit well with Stanley, who blasted Allen for setting Pryor up to fail.

"I think they're putting him in hopes that he fails," Stanley told CSNBayArea.com on Dec. 23.  "That's what I think the coach is doing.  I think they're putting him in hopes that he has a bad game, so (Allen) can then justify the Matt McGloin situation.  I think that's what's going on, I do and it's ridiculous...

"You have to understand the coach putting him in, he doesn't want him to look good.  And you can write that.  He doesn't want him to look good because, if he looks good this week, it makes the past five weeks look like a bad decision.  (Allen) doesn't want him to look good, he wants him to look bad.  That is what is going on."

Allen called Stanley's accusations ridiculous.

"That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard," Allen said the next day, via CSNBayArea.com.  "This isn't the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  This is football."

Pryor had a decent game, throwing for 207 yards and two touchdowns in the 34-14 loss to Denver.
