The Houston Rockets have reached the playoffs in four consecutive seasons of the NBA. And during those playoff runs, they have a combined record of 196-132 win-loss record. But 3 of those 4 times, they were eliminated in the first round. That includes last season when they were once again eliminated by the Golden State Warriors.

This season, it looks like they will once again make the NBA playoffs. With a 13-7 win-loss record, they were second in the Southwest Division and fourth in the competitive Western Conference. They won their last two games including a big win over the Warriors which snapped a 12-game winning streak.

James Harden is playing another MVP-type season. With a new head coach in Mike D'Antoni, Harden is moved to being the Rockets' starting point guard. And it's pretty obvious that Harden fits into that role as he averages 28.3 points 7.6 rebounds and 11.8 assists in 37.2 minutes. He is fourth in scoring, first in assists and tied fourth with Zach LaVine in minutes played.

But one restricted free agent for the Houston Rockets have received an offer sheet. Donatas Motiejunas, a fifth year veteran, signed an offer sheet worth four-year $37 million with the Brooklyn Nets as per NBA.

Motiejunas was drafted as the 20th overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2011 NBA Draft. His rights were then traded to the Houston Rockets. In his four years with the Houston Rockets, he averaged 7.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 214 regular season games, as per Wikipedia.

The Rockets had offered Motiejunas a two-year contract. But the latest NBa trade rumor also said that only the first season is guaranteed at $7 million. The Nets offer was two-year contract guaranteed with $9 million on the first year.

Motiejunas became a free agent 5 months ago. It was only in December 2 that he received an offer sheet from a team. The Houston Rockets will only have a few hours to match the offer from the Brooklyn Nets. According to The Dream Shake, Daryl Morel of the Houston Rockets should match the offer by the Nets.

Will the Houston Rockets match the offer by the Brooklyn Nets or will Donatas Motiejunas play for a new team in Brooklyn Nets? Stay tuned for the latest NBA trade rumors and updates.
