NBA 2K17 just recently launched the much-anticipated After Dark mode for MyPark on Saturday night. But ever since its official released, it has somehow failed to deliver on most counts, according to several gamers who tried to access and play the new feature.

Gamers are unhappy

Even though 2K heads Ronnie 2K and Chris Manning deemed After Dark as a success, a lot of gamers took to social media and Reddit to share their stressful and unsatisfied experiences with the mode, as well as expressing their unhappiness surrounding the launch.

Problems on 'After Dark' mode

Those who frequently play the MyPark mode are very aware of the issues that gamers are facing on a daily basis; problems such as players being randomly kicked out, or not being allowed to connect and join a 1-on-1, 2-on-2 or 3-on-3 pickup games. These issues have also continued to haunt gamers as the 2K servers seemingly crash and are inaccessible for a lengthy amount of time.

Reasons for the problem

Perhaps, it was a case of a lot of gamers trying to log on at the same time, but 2K couldn't control the volume of players logging onto the game mode. The After Dark mode was supposed to feature a virtual party mode into MyPark courtesy a concert from rapper Snoop Dogg. However, most gamers never got the chance to witness the concert despite numerous attempts to get into the games.

The Use VC for MyPark gear

Also, several gamers complained about having to pay large amounts of Virtual Currency (VC) in order to purchase After Dark accessories and clothing that could not even be equipped immediately. While they did eventually receive the said purchased items, most gamers could not take them to the virtual courts. It is important to note that a lot of these issues were faced right on launch night.

2K will find a way

With that being said, it's fair to say that the After Dark mode for MyPark has been a disaster thus far. However, we can also rest assure that 2K will see to that the every likely bugs and problem will be in the coming days.
