Rocket League will reportedly be bringing a new DLC to the game which was announced by the developer during The Game Awards 2016.

 It is named as Starbase Arc where the map is free to download will shortly arrive to the game for all platforms. The map is reportedly set to take place in the outer space on a space station. The trailer for the same was revealed during The Game Awards.  

Alongside the free DLC, Rocket League will also receive some paid additions, according to the developer Pysonix. There will be some new additions in terms of music and a new custom training mode.

The trailer reveals an octagonal stadium orbiting a familiar planet. Every time someone scores a goal in the ARC, a special interstellar laser show effect is seen. According to the developers, the following effect will happen for competitive, casual and private matches free of cost.

As to paid additions, players can now purchase a special vehicle called Vulcan for $1.99. The pay-to-unlock car is reportedly termed to be the "Most elite sporting ship in the galaxy".

The content will be available to download this December 7. This is one of the unique add-on content that is being offered free of cost, to include space elements in the game.  

Rocket League won the Independent game of the year last year. The game which is best played with the help of controllers,is now apparently a competitive game that is picking up popularity as a professional e-sport.

Recently, Rocket league had its own competitive league competition which is still going on. The championship series is now in the final stages of the event. The cross planet game can be customized on PC through mods which makes it look even better with custom training modes and arenas.
