While One Direction, being the world's biggest boy band, is used to getting swarmed by thousands of adoring fans on the regular, bandmate Liam Payne recently begged his fans to leave him alone after a particularly unnerving incident, EntertainmentWise reports.

The 20-year-old heartthrob took to Twitter recently, asking his fans to give him some space as some had recently discovered and posted his home address online, prompting many to try and pay him a visit.

"I know my friends have tweeted a lot of pictures of my house the past few days but can people please stop coming and waiting outside," he tweeted. "I'd just like to be able to walk outside as everyone does and enjoy time with my friends, not feel bad for not wanting to take a picture. Sorry if I've been rude to anyone but I've come to realise if I take one picture more people keep coming everyday xxx hope everyone's good."

Payne's bandmate Harry Styles recently won a court order against the paparazzi as a measure of privacy, unafraid to denounce the photogs that followed his every waking move. His rep, however, assured his fans that he would be happy to take photos with them out in public.

On Monday, Payne pulled a stunt that freaked out many of his fans while celebrating his bandmate Zayn Malik's 21st birthday. He stood outside on a ledge of an apartment building in London, the photo of which was circulated by a friend of his but deleted soon after. The star apologized on Twitter, adding that he regretted being there and having the photo taken, as he did not want to encourage his fans to do the same thing.
