Snapchat Spectacles allows user to record videos directly from their glasses and then share it onto the popular social platform. However, just like 3D glasses in theatres, it was still uncomfortable for people with prescription glasses to put on Spectacles. For this, an optical company has come up with the solution as they are offering prescription lenses specifically meant for Snapchat Spectacles.

US-based Rochester Optical, a company that previously came up with prescription lenses for Google Glass also, has now came up with a similar solution for Snapchat Spectacles. The pricing of the prescription lenses depends on the power of the prescription, type of lens, and the coating on the lense.

The lens types are available for the Snapchat glasses from Rochester Optical include standard plastic, high-index, polarized Rx Sun, and photochromic.

Standard plastic lens type will cost you $99, high-index type will set you back by $149. Both polarized Rx Sun and photo chromic lenses are available for $199, reports NDTV.

For getting the lenses, users are required to ship their Spectacles to the address provided by the company.

"All of the below lens options are for single-vision prescriptions only. We have no Rx range restrictions," Rochester Optical said on their website.

PC Mag notes that using the Spectacles to record daily activities is easy. Wearers simply need to tap the left button to record a 10-second step, with each additional tape recording an additional 10 seconds to the video. However, the recording can be stopped when the button is held down for two seconds.

The Spectacles, released on November 11, are available through a pop-up store called "Bot-House" in New York. Apart from these two options, the Snapchat glasses are up for sale from e-commerce sites.

Snapchat Spectacles are a great piece of technology, but it is not for everyone. It definitely is more appealing to the younger generations as they are brightly coloured and easy to use.

Interested buyers must complete an online order form and then ship their Spectacles directly to the store.
