Apple will be participating in Red's AIDS awareness campaign. Its inclusion will also involve some of its games on AppStore.

From November 30 to December 6, twenty games of the tech giant will be utilized as avenues to assist in raising funds for the Red group which is a non-profit organization organized by U2 lead singer Paul Hewson, who is famously known as Bono, and Bobby Shriver last 2005. 50 percent of the revenues accumulated by Red through its game items will be forwarded to the Global Fund, an association launched to address the proliferation of epidemics associated with AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria.

It is the aim of this consortium to put an end to the said diseases. Financial proceeds will be used to provide assistance to HIV-affected populations in Ghana, Lesotho, Swaziland, Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia, Rwanda and South Africa.

Participating game apps include Angry Birds 2, Best Fiends, Candy Crush Royale, Clash Clans, Clash Royale, CSR2, Farm Heroes Saga, Farmville, FIFA Mobile, Hay Day, Plants and Zombies, PewDiePie, SIM City, War Dragons and Yahtzee with Buddies.

As part of commemorating World AIDS Day on December 1st, around 400 Apple stores will have red logos. The tech company has declared that a dollar will be contributed to a charity partner for every Apple Pay purchase on AppStore. It has been pledged that the Cupertino-based organization will be handing out a million dollars during the occasion.

In line with this, the Bank of America will also be giving another million as part of its promotion that involves the use of its cards for Apple Pay transactions done from December 1 to December 7.

Apple will also be distributing Red-marked products. The items that are made available include iPhone 7 smart battery cases, iPhone SE cases, Beats Pills with portable speakers and Beats Solo3 wireless headphones.

So far, the Red organization has procured around $365 million in its campaign. As one of Red's biggest supporters, Apple has given about $120 million during the last decade.
