Simon Cowell reportedly wants Kesha as a judge on Season 4 of "The X Factor." Fox has not made an official decision whether the singing competition show will return for a new season but sources told Hollywood Life that its "very promising" the show will be back.

Recently, Demi Lovato announced that she wouldn't be returning to the show and instead wanting to focus on her music career and upcoming tour. Since her exit, producers have been trying to figure out which pop star will have a seat at the judges' table.

"Simon thinks that if they keep with the regular format, Kesha would be great; she's relevant and would have a lot to share in life experiences just like Demi," the source said. "He sees Kesha as a firecracker that would add the what's-going-to-happen-next feel that the show really wants to pursue."

"Simon also knows that the show could provide a stable, healthy environment for her and really thinks she would work greatly for the show next season, "the source added.

Kesha, 26, entered rehab on Jan. 3 for an eating disorder. Her mother, Pebe Sebert, told Radar Online that she daughter is struggling with both anorexia and bulimia and blamed members of Kesha's entourage for her issues with weight.

It had previously been reported that music producer Dr. Luke had called the singer a "f**king refrigerator" while onset of a music video but Sebert claims he wasn't the only one pressuring her to lose weight.

"It wasn't just Luke. She had an advisor who told her he had a meeting with a record company and they said she better lose 15 pounds in the next 30 days," she told Radar. "He told her he didn't care if she shoved her hand down her throat or took illegal drugs, but she had to lose the weight."

Her mother also said the singer split from a secret boyfriend, video director Darren Craig, around the same time and she didn't handle the breakup well. A week after Kesha entered rehab, Sebert checked herself into the same facility for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
