It was in 2010 when Clarence House announced that "lowly commoner" Kate Middleton was going to marry heartthrob Prince William. Back then, there was an unspoken recognition that the future King of England was breaking down barriers and moving with the times by marrying different stock to what one would usually expect a royal to start a family with.

Since King Edward VIII abdicated his throne to get married to American socialite Wallis Simpson, there hasn't been a royal relationship so potentially epic in its promise of breaking new ground and throwing convention to the four winds as one between Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Some people were aghast at the simple thought of one of God's chosen few to get married to a member of the "bundled and botched" club.

According to reports, James Whitaker, the loyal royalist shared to Washington Post, "I'm not against the middle class as such, but I do query whether Kate Middleton has the background and breeding to be queen one day."

The majority of TV columnists used to take some sort of perverse pleasure labeling future queen of England as a "commoner." As Kate Middleton and her family have proven time and time again, people stopped to underestimate the Duchess of Cambridge and started to like her.

Today, Prince William's wife is so popular and loved as his late mother Princess Diana used to be.

Today, as all thoughts turn to Meghan Markle, one can only imagine the collective dismay of the old-school gentry if Prince Harry marries "the American actress and divorcee" and welcomed some new blood into the Royal family.

The interesting question here is, does the Duchess of Cambridge sees Markle as a friend or rival? At least on paper, the two glamor dolls would presumably get along well.

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle share a love of high-street fashion. Both are associated with humanitarian causes and seems to be the sort of woman who would own a pet bunny rabbit. What's more interesting, the two of them are thoroughly common, in a non-royal sense that is.

While waiting for Kensington Palace to confirm the two have met, New Zealand's Woman's Day shared that Kate Middleton is delighted because her brother in law and "Suits" actress are dating.

"Kate is thrilled that Harry has finally found a girlfriend who looks like being a keeper." Yet, there are some rumors that speculate that substratum part of Kate Middleton, submerged deep into her commoner DNA considers Meghan Markle a threat who will upstage her in every possible way conceivable.

What do you think? Does Kate Middleton Consider Prince Harry's new Love Meghan Markle as a fellow commoner or a terrifying threat?
