Angelina Jolie finally broke her silence about the divorce battle she is currently facing with former husband, Brad Pitt. This was after reports have been claiming that the actor had filed for legal documents to contest her demands for full custody.

But it seems really final this time that the six kids - 15-year old Maddox, 12-year old Pax, 11-year old Zahara, 10-year old Shiloh, and 8-year old twins, Knox and Vivienne, are going to be under her care after the couple's separation.

According to Hello Magazine, the Maleficent actress made a speech addressed to the International Criminal Court, in which the actress praised the court on its policy regarding children protection.

In the video, Jolie spoke to the camera saying, "Successful prosecution and new legal benchmark, whether at the ICC or elsewhere is part of the long and vital generational effort."

The 41-year old Hollywood star added that she is happy about the court's new policy and thinks that this should be the rule that the courts around the world should be seen. She stressed the importance of protection against children crime and violence and at the later part of the video, Jolie congratulated the chief prosecutor and all other legal staff that helped developed the said policy.

It can be recalled that the mother-of-six had maintained a low-profile since her divorce and this would be the first time that she spoke publicly about the issue.

However, TMZ reported that the video she had recently might be an attack against her former husband. Many had been speculating that Jolie is constantly taking Pitt down which started when she accused him of verbal and physical abuse to their eldest son, Maddox. It had also been reported that the actress insisted of taking care of the children even after the actor was cleared of the abuse allegations.

On a report fron The Sun, a representative of Jolie had confirmed on a statement that the actress would have custody of the six children, which would mean that all the kids are going to stay with their mother while Pitt continues his supervised visits. The statement added that this is in accordance with the childcare professionals' decision to to protect the children at its highest measure.

The statement though, mentioned that the representatives are not in a position to discuss further, but hopes that the decision will both benefit Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt including their six children.
