Fans of James Bond are eagerly waiting for the announcement that will reveal the actor who will bring alive the popular spy on screen. However, it seems like Aidan Turner is the unanimous choice and would most likely replace Daniel Craig in the next 'Bond' movie.

Aidan Turner is being touted as the would-be Bond and he has got many supporters who see him as the perfect fit for the iconic role, reports The Bitbag. Roger Moore, who has essayed the role of the detective seven times in the past, has said that Turner would make a very good Bond. 'Poldark' actor Robin Ellis has also given him his blessing too.

Ellis stated that Turner is quite capable of taking the role as he has got the looks and brooding presence to justify the character. Notably, Aidan Turner has been in news for a while for being the hot favorite to play James Bond in the next movie. Though he has denied the rumors consistently, he seems to be the top choice and has received endorsements from multiple quarters.

Still, until an official announcement is made, everything should be taken with a pinch of salt. As for Daniel Craig, the current Bond who has starred in three installments namely 'Spectre,' 'Quantum of Solace,' and 'Casino Royale,' and he has not stood down yet. The production family loves him and has said that Craig is still their first choice.

Meanwhile, other actors such as Tom Hardy, Jack Huston, James Norton and Tom Hiddleston are said to be in the reckoning, claims GameNGuide. In fact, Forbes has suggested the names of Scott Mendelson, Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman, Ryan Goseling and Idris Elba play the role of the spy agent.

Well, speculations are in favor of Turner and since Craig has famously said that he would rather slash his wrists than play Bond again, it does look like that a replacement is being explored. With options galore and Craig the reigning favorite of the production team, it is not really an easy choice. Only time will tell if Turner finally makes it as the super cool Bond.
