The most anticipated Tom Clancy's The Division Public Test Server has finally arrived! As mentioned by developer Massive in the past, this will give players the benefit of accessing any forthcoming updates and contents, among others.

And as a result, they will be able to be informed on which ones are to be brought to the official server through update 1.4. For PC players looking to be a part of it, here's how massive this feature is going to be.

About the Public Test Server

As posted on the official Steam Community site intended for Tom Clancy's The Division, the said Public Test Server will be downloaded to a separate client. Its size will be 45 GB, which overwrites the existing client of players. This is simply because it is intended to be saved in a new folder name on their desktops.

The PTS will definitely bring in some much-needed updates to the game

Since it has a huge size, Tom Clancy's The Division PTS will be offering a lot of experience. After all, it's meant to aid in the development of update 1.4, which is an upcoming patch expected to resurrect the game back to its former glory. However, it should be noted that the Public Test Server will only be available for PC players.

Testers can create their own separate character in the PTS

Massive also mentioned that the first few days will mainly cover the progression between the new World Levels in Tom Clancy's The Division. Because of this, players' main characters won't be available to the Public Test Server. They will easily be able to create a new level 30 character, though.

The update is coming sooner than later

The upcoming Tom Clancy's The Division update 1.4 is expected to hit the game anytime next month, though the exact date hasn't been officially announced. Through the Public Test Server, developers will be able to gather some feedback and recommendations from the community. For instance, being able to learn which feature is okay and which bug needs fixing.
