It is no secret around the NBA that Sacramento Kings Rudy Gay will leave the team by the end of the regular season. He already announced it before the season began and the Kings might now wait the end of the season and move him before the trade deadline. And it seems that they have a trade partner for him, the Houston Rockets.

Gay, who will also be a free agent after the season, have revealed his decision due to his discontented feeling towards the direction of the team and his desire to be on a contender team. After 11 years in the league, he hasn't been in the NBA Finals and many say that he is looking for a team that will give him a chance to win a championship.

And now, it looks like the Kings are considering to trade him before the February deadline rather than losing him in free agency. According to Morning News USA, the Sacramento Kings and Houston Rockets are talking about a possibility of a trade deal between them. Trade scenario is suggesting that the Kings will send Rudy Gay to the Rockets in exchange for Trevor Ariza and Corey Brewer.

The report also says that Gay will compliment James Harden's game style and they could play perfectly on the court at the same time. Having Gay on the roster would give the Rockets a lethal starting five of Harden, Patrick Beverly, Ryan Anderson and Clint Capella as per stated in the report.

Hoops Habit also reported that Gay's skill set would be a perfect fit to Houston Rockets offensive brand of game. Rockets new head coach Mike D'Antoni is known for his offensive-minded system and Gay is an explosive offensive player on the court most especially in transition plays. This means that Gay don't have to adjust big time and will adapt already in the system.

As for the Kings, having Ariza and Brewer will give them a versatile and low usage players who are great defensive players also as per stated in the report. Being low usage players will allow their other teammates to excel such as Ben McLemore, Aaron Afflalo and Matt Barnes that means playing time will not an issue for them.

Overall, the trade makes sense as the Kings will have enhanced their efficiency, lessen their turnovers and develop their transition attack while the Rockets will be improved both offensively and defensively.
