Rihanna is all set to play the character of Marion Crane for "Bates Motel" Season 5, and she has just started with her shooting.

According to Just Jared, the "Work" singer was sighted in Vancouver, Canada on Nov. 15, filming her first scenes. She was sporting short auburn hair and gray formal suit.

Director-actor Nestor Carbonell was also on set. He plays the role of Sheriff Alex Romero in the series and was directing the episode in which Rihanna is in.

Already a talented singer, Rihanna seems to be exploring her love for acting lately. Along with Bates, her upcoming acting ventures are "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" and "Ocean's Eight."

The French science-fiction action film "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" is scheduled for release on July 21, 2017. Rihanna will play the role of Bubble, a shapeshifting entertainer, as per Wikipedia.

"Ocean's Eight" is the spin-off of the Ocean's Trilogy and will be released on June 8, 2018. This American crime drama film also stars Rihanna, for which she is currently under shoot in New York City.

The filming of Rihanna's episode took place in a building on Hastings Street. Vancouver Sun reports that while most of the shooting took place inside the building, one scene was filmed just outside.

For a smooth and interruption free filming process, "no stopping" signs were being erected near the building, also a bus stop has been shifted a block south, adds Vancouver Sun.

The fifth season will be the final for Bates Motel and is expected to air sometime in March 2017.

The iconic role of Marion Crane was previously played by Janet Leigh in the 1960 psychological horror film "Psycho".

Major spoiler ahead, but anyone who has seen Psycho or is aware of Robert Bloch's novel of the same name, might know that Marion Crane or Mary Crane is being killed pretty brutally.
