Kendall Jenner has deleted her Instagram on Sunday, leaving her 68 million followers waiting for an explanation.

Since the 21-year old hasn't made an official statement about her action, fans are speculating their own theories.

According to Clevver News, just last week Kendall's alleged stalker, Shavaughn McKenzie, who was found guilty of trespassing, was released from jail. Her Instagram break can be seen as a security measure because of this.

However, Kendall has also stated that nowadays she feels like shutting off from the digital world as she finds it irritating when people are engrossed with their phones rather than enjoying their surroundings.

In an interview with Allure last month, Kendall admitted she is willing to delete her Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat account for few days just to get a break from the digital world.

Kendall's moment of epiphany came when she was on a vacation with sister Kylie Jenner. While Kendall was taking in nature and admiring how beautiful the place was, Kylie wouldn't put her phone down.

"I'm like, 'That's so crazy to me that you're not experiencing this.' That was the moment it kind of clicked for me. And I didn't like it," said Kendall.

Another reason which is likely for Kendall to delete her Instagram is the recent backlash she received for her Vogue Espana photo shoot, in which she posed as a ballerina, said The Sun.

Professional ballet dancers from all around the globe criticized her for portraying ballet wrongly and the fact that Kendall is not even a professional ballerina.

Just last month, Kendall's half sister Kim Kardashian also disappeared from social media after being held up at gunpoint in her Paris hotel in a jewelry heist. An incident which according to Khloe Kardashian was "a wake up call" for the family.

The model is however active on Twitter and Facebook.
