Chicago Bears' forward line player Jordan Howard suffered a possible Achilles tendon injury during a game against Buccaneers, coach John Fox said.

The Bears offensive line is on the thin line after being down a man already after being fully fit for the first time all year. According to Espn, the Bears did not announce the injury before or during the game but late in the fourth quarter.

The rookie star limped off the field after going through a meaningless carry. The concern of injury wasn't great at the time as he exited the field of play on his own and not with the help of somebody.

Bears coach Fox never reported the correct time and extent of the injury even when it was clear to the public. Howard rushed 15 yards on 15 carries during the game on Sunday before sustaining the injury.

Eventually, the Bears lost 36-10 to their opponents and in the process, lost guard Kyle Long to a potentially serious leg injury. Long was carted off the field with his right leg on the aircast.

Howard did talk to the media after the game and gave an impression that he was fine, saying it was just tightness because he wasn't wearing any protective boots and never felt limp during the game.

According to CBS Chicago, Fox will update about the injury when he meets the media on Monday at Halas Hall.

There is a slight dilemma now about whom the public should believe - the player himself suggesting he's ok, the coach isn't showing great signs of concern, but doctors reported that he has torn something and a potentially serious injury is on the cards.

Howard in serious injury is one Bears couldn't afford to have after suffering such a heavy loss to the Buccaneers.

The Bears' secretive policy won't really work when it comes to revealing injuries. But we will find out sooner than later about the extent of the injury.
