History network's historical drama television series, Vikings, had been announced to premiere its remaining episodes for Season 4 Part 2 later this month. Following this, fans could not hide their excitement on the upcoming events of the series.

The announcement of the upcoming return of the Irish-Canadian drama series had been received with speculations and rumors with regard to what might happen with Viking Ragnar Lothbrok and the rest of the characters. Spoilers for the midseason premiere are going to come next so read at your own risk.

According to Australia Network, the continuation of Season 4 might feature two major deaths, as much as fans don't want it to happen. On the tenth episode of the first half of Vikings Season 4, it can be recalled that Ragnar Lothbrok and his brother, Rollo (portrayed by Travis Fimmel and Clive Standen respectively), had engaged in an epic battle, where neither of them are willing to give up.

A bruised and bloodied Ragnar was later seen accepting his defeat while Lagertha, portrayed by Katheryn Winnick, was seen motionless and bleeding, too. It was shown on the final part of the episode that Ragnar came back but with a full transformation, he got older and his beard grew longer.

However, the abovementioned source speculated that the second half of Season 4 might show the death of the legendary Viking. It even said that his second wife, Queen Aslaug, might also die along with him.

A trailer released at the San Diego Comic-Con suggested that the Ragnar might die because of a scene that showed him being captured and incarcerated.

And while it might be unclear who had masterminded on seizing him, rumors have it that it might be Ivan Kaye's character, King Aelle of Northumbria. Counsel Heal also reported that viewers will expect a battle between Ragnar and his first wife, Lagertha and it was speculated further that she will rule in the fourth season of the drama series.

These speculations, however, are to be found out if true during the airing of the second part of Vikings Season 4, to be aired on November 30 on History.
