Prince Harry has just confirmed that Meghan Markle is his girlfriend. The Kensington Palace also released an official statement on this matter while quoting that Prince Harry condemned the media and the press for attacking his US actress girlfriend.

In the official statement from the Kensington Palace as per BBC, the Britain's prince attacked the press for subjection Markle to abuse and harassment. The statement also presented that Harry and Meghan are still in their few months of relationship.

The prince is so worried with his girlfriend, saying that it is not right that Meghan Markle is subjected to that kind of treatment. Just the past days, Meghan Markle landed in front pages of several newspapers and feature stories about the 35-year-old actress who plays Rachel Zane in the hit TV drama series, Suits.

Prince Harry warned the press against harassing his girlfriend saying that the press has already crossed the line in the previous week. This was after several publications took advantage of the speculation that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in a relationship.

Meghan Markle has been the subject of smear on the front page of many newspapers and implicitly featured racial undertones of comments and the downright sexism and discrimination of social media.

Some of these publications and racial comments were hidden in public to keep the defamatory stories out of the papers. Worse, her mother would even have to struggle from photographers to her front door. And that Markle's ex-boyfriend was offered bribes by several newspapers.

Prince Harry is deeply sorry that he is not even there to protect his girlfriend, Meghan Markle and is worried with her safety.

This statement from the Kensington Palace is the first official reference to the pair as a couple.

Prince Harry asked for this official statement to be issued by the Kensington Palace, not only to protect his girlfriend Meghan Markle but to let the press reflect before any damage would be committed.
