If you're to buy the Virtual Reality headset and don't want to spend top dollar on an Oculus VR or an HTC Vive, then Samsung's Gear VR is an interesting alternative for you. You can get the Samsung Gear VR, at the price of just $50.

Back in September the VR gear was discounted to $60 that too for a limited time only. But now A4C is offering Samsung's 2015 Gear VR bundled with Galaxy S6 earphones for just $50.

That is beating the Amazon's and Best Buy's price by $10. The VR works with Samsung's Galaxy S7 phones, with the exception of the now recalled Galaxy Note 7.

Gear VR is a lot of fun and very easy to use. If you use wear spectacles then it will suit you as its large enough to fit over most glasses. Also, the rubber mask and felt pad will fit comfortably around your face. The pads are also removable and washable that will help them to last longer than the cheaper foam pads found in other VR headsets.

The offered VR headset is the microUSB model that is compatible with the Galaxy S7, S7 edge, Note 5, S6 edge+, S6 edge, and S6. This is not the 2016 model designed for the explosive Galaxy Note 7 but with modular connector it will work with older devices as well.

The original Gear VR has a 96-degree field of view, as opposite to the latest model's 101 degrees. The newer model is also having a slightly different design and altered padding. But if you want to try out the Gear VR, there's not much difference between previous and current models.

Though the Gear VR is fun to use, still it is not perfect as It suffers from "the screen door effect," that means while using this it is possible to see pixels and the gaps between them when you have the headset on.

Another problem is that the headset only works when you're sitting up straight. So the users will not able to lay down in both the real and virtual worlds.

You can get the Samsung gear VR for $50 ON A4C.
