After months of bashing for taking his credit, Calvin Harris finally thanked his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift for her work on "This Is What You Came For."

The Scottish DJ expressed his thanks through a tweet, "I am blessed to work with incredible artists @rihanna @taylorswift13 thank you!!!"

Harris had dated Taylor for almost a year followed by a messy breakup. Soon after, a spat broke out on their social media handle when Harris lashed out at Taylor for taking credit for his hard work.

A report on The Sun revealed that Harris accused Taylor soon after her reps reported that the singer had penned the lyrics of "This Is What You Came For" under her pseudonym Nils Sjoberg.

Later, in a series of tweet, Harris expressed his disappointment and wrote, "Hurtful to me at this point that she and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage, though."

Even post breakup, the stars remained civil for something but things went awry after Taylor started dating actor Tom Hiddleston.

Teen Vogue reported that the stars have been texting each other off-late but it seems unlikely for the duo to get back together.

Meanwhile, Taylor's new song Best Man by music group Little Big Town has been the latest talk of the town for its lyrics-"I know I'm probably better off on my own / Than loving a man who didn't know what he had when he had it / And I see the permanent damage you did to me / Never again, I just wish I could forget when it was magic."

Soon after the song was released, speculations were rife that the song was on Harris. However, sources close to IBTimes has clarified that the song was penned almost a year back, even before Taylor started dating Harris.
