Brad Pitt's split with Angelina Jolie has forced him to back out from his promotional commitments of his new movie "Allied."

According to the Daily Mail, Pitt, who plays the role of Max Vatan in the romantic thriller, is reportedly not willing to do any interviews or press junkets following his much publicized split.

"Allied" is big campaign push of Brad Pitt in his attempt to win an acting Oscar. But now, he is bridled with too much controversy.

As reported by New Zealand Herald, lots of chat shows have taken a hit because they scheduled him to come on and dozens of journalists have lost their interviews.

They have also been reportedly told not to ask questions about Pitt's personal life to anyone else associated with the film. The report further noted that Pitt's team is going to not let him walk the red carpet in Los Angeles either, even though it is important for him to promote the film.

But this particular personal crisis is too huge for Pitt, and the current ploy is for him to maintain a low profile.

Moreover, the fact that Marion Cottilard co-stars with him and there are rumours doing the rounds that he had an affair with her doesn't help the case. However, both Cottilard and Pitt have reportedly denied such allegations. Cottilard is reportedly pregnant with her second child with actor partner Guillaume Canet.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie got married last year and are currently embroiled in a legal battle as Jolie has asked for full custody of their six children: Maddox,15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10 and eight year old twins Knox and Vivienne. Pitt has requested for shared guardianship.
