There is not much of Claire's husband Frank in the third book of the hugely successful Outlander book series, written by Diana Gabaldon. Claire is played by Caitriona Balfe and Frank, her husband by Tobias Menzies in Outlander series.

But in a report by the Inquistr, Outlander will feature many details of Claire and Frank's life together, after she heads into 1940's England, and abandons Jamie in Culloden in Season 3.

Outlander is a story about a world war 2 nurse who gets transported into time into 18th century Scotland. "They've expanded that end of the story a little bit, but they've done it well, very consistently," said Diane Gabaldon.

Fans of Jamie, played by Sam Heughan, who are hoping to see more him need not worry, since Gabaldon says that Jamie's story coincides with Gabaldon's version in the book. That includes the much awaited face off with Black Jack (also played by Menzies).

In the report, Caitriona Balfe, however, said that she understood that viewers were disappointed with the lack of sex in Season 2 when she recently spoke to Vanity fair.

"I definitely heard that they missed a lot of intimacy between Jamie and Claire.Even Sam and I sort of missed it in the beginning since it was heavy on politics." Balfe went on to say that everyone missed those intimate moments and that it was one of the concerns on Twitter, "Where is the sex?"

But despite Claire and Jamie, the steamy hot couple of the series being seperated from each other. Balfe reportedly confirmed that there would be much more sex going on. Audiences might have to wait a bit for it and she hinted that sex will feature much more than the last season.

According to International Business Times, Caitriona Balfe is happy to have a "backup" husband at all times. Since there are reports that Jamie and Claire are seperated in the beginning of Season 3 but she works with Frank.

It seems like Balfe is happy to have an extra leading man. Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire are seperated in the beginning of "Outlander" Season 3. She clarified that neither of them are actual backups but that it has been a "strange" and "interesting" dynamics.
