"LaKeisha your amazing weight loss doesn't change the fact that you were a very sweet person to begin with! I am 40 pounds overweight and I wish I had your determination to stick with exercise. Kudos to you and best wishes," one YouTube commenter wrote.

"Thanks for your inspirational video! I am on the journey to lose weight and re-invigorate myself and you reinforced that it can and will be done. Best of luck as you continue on your life-changing journey and remember, if you ever get disheartened, you have thousands behind you supporting you!," another commenter posted.

Some YouTube commenters stated Shurn's 18-pound loss in 100 days isn't impressive. According to Web MD, her weight loss is on track as with a healthy diet and vigorous exercise, a person should be losing no more than two pounds a week.

"If you burn 500 more calories than you eat every day for a week, you should lose about 1-2 pounds," according to the health site.
