The Manhattan based legal drama Suits took a brief hiatus after airing a few episodes back in July. And now, when the anticipation is at its peak, front man behind the show Aaron Korsch decided to set the winter date for the rest of the season.

Suits Season 6's rest half is slated to begin its episodes on the 25 of January, 2017, reports USA Network.

Suits Season 6 will immediately commence where it left the previous episodes in a cliffhanger. The Pearson Spectre Litt firm was left to be managed by Harvey Spectre (Gabriel Macht) and Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman).

The duo is forced to keep up with the firm as the integral partner of the firm Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) moved away and decided to call it quits as a lawyer. The duo will be putting their trusts on the reliable and advisors of the firm including Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty) and Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle).

As far as Mike Ross's (Patrick J. Adams) love life is concerned, he will be seen modifying his social circle as he will reunited with the love of his life Rachel.

While talking to Deadline, the series creator of Suits Aaron Korsch highlighted, "I think the first episode back is a little surprising," Korsh said. "Let me rephrase that. It's both what you would expect and also, a little surprising."

The exec producer revealed that Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Louis (Rick Hoffman) will both behave as fans would expect them to. But both will also "have little dashes of things" that the audience wouldn't expect.

The highly-anticipated winter season is directed by the Suits Season 6 protagonist, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Suits Season 6 will consist of further six seasons. As per the swirling rumors, the legal drama has already been renewed for its sequel season 7, which is programmed to be aired next year in 2017.

Suits Season 6 returns 25th January, at 10/9c this Wednesday on USA Network.
