NCIS: New Orleans Season 3 but the showrunners are worried about ratings of the show after Zoe McLellan, who played Agent Brody left the show.

Actress, Vanessa Ferlito plays the new agent, Tammy Gregorio, but, the fan's reactions do not look promising as they don't seem to bear McLellan's absence from the show.

Adding to their woes is the CBS announcement that says McLellan would not be returning to the show, reports Morning Ledger. The network is said to be looking for her replacement but as of now, they are sticking with the supposed replacement i.e. Agent Tammy Gregorio. The new agent from FBI who has come to investigate the NCIS team will carry on with her work.

However, it remains to be seen if viewers would find her dynamic enough to fill in the shoes of Brody.  They were quite upset when 'NCIS: New Orleans' Season 3 took off without McLellan and it is one of the most compelling reasons the show witnessed a drop in ratings. It is very clear that her departure has affected the show negatively.

The audiences want her back but it seems unlikely that she would return. The actress reportedly left the show because of her personal reasons. Previous reports state that she went through a nasty divorce and was looking to spend time with her son. It was also suggested that she is dating.  Reports of a tiff between the channel and the actress over fees had also surfaced and it is still not clear what exactly made her leave.

As for CBS, the channel is yet to see the response of the audience with regard to Ferlito as the new rough and tough agent. The last week episode of the show did see an improvement in ratings, which is definitely good news for the showrunners but one cannot be sure that the ratings would continue to show an upward trend.

It is worth mentioning here that Brody departed from 'NCIS: New Orleans' quite abruptly. After her lover turned out to be a traitor, she went into oblivion. There were rumors that McLellan would return in a guest role but that has not happened yet and with CBS' announcement, it pretty much seems out of the picture.
