Despite cancellation rumors, fans of the American coming of age television sitcom, Girl Meets World have stayed positive that Disney will renew the series for a fourth installment.

As of now, Disney has yet to announce if a new season for the series will be confirmed or not, but casts and crew of the show are hoping they could still share some of their characters' stories to the fans. Additionally, it has been reported that the series have been getting positive rumors recently about its renewal.

According to a source, the series' spinoff, Boy Meets World are speculated to be getting a renewal from Disney Channel, and because of this, it has been hinted that Girl Meets World could possibly get a renewal as well. Other rumors have surfaced that the series may transfer to Freeform channel, and it would be alright for fans and viewers, as long as a fourth season would be assured.

Main casts, Rowan Blanchard who portrays Riley Matthews, and Sabrina Carpenter who portrays Maya Hart, have previously reported to have acknowledged that they are to depart the series soon, as they have already grown and matured. But according to a report from iTech Post, they are also hopeful that the show will have its fourth season despite the cancellation rumors.

Blanchard stated, "I know as much as you do. We are hoping for a Season 4, obviously, because we want to continue our story, and I feel like it's an important story to tell. But as of right now, we just finished Season 3 and we're still waiting on the word."

If ever Disney announces soon that the series will finally be renewed, fans will have more to look forward in the sitcom. There are reports claiming that writers may create mature scenes for Maya and Riley. However, this too, has not yet been confirmed.
