Before installing the custom ROM, they must do the following first:

1. Empty the device's memory to give space for the custom ROM

2. Back up the data

3. User's Google Nexus 7 device must be rooted, USB driver a must in the desktop and 70% battery to power up the installation. It will cause issues if the tablet dies during installation.

Steps to install:

1. Download AICP via PC

2. Connect device to PC via USB port

3. Move the custom ROM file to Google Nexus 7

4. Disconnect the tablet and restart

5. Press altogether the power and volume buttons to perform Bootloader Mode

6. Head to recover menu and perform factory reset or wipe data

7. Wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache

8. Install AICP and confirm it

9. After the custom ROM installation is completed, use the same steps to install GApps and reboot the device once again

The custom ROM Android 7.0 Nougat features from the official build of the OS such as split screen compatibility, new interface and themes, ramped up performance upgrades as well as battery life improvement.
