Looking the Android 7.0 Nougat update for Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra, Xperia XZ, Xperia X Performance and Xperia X Compact?

Sony intends to make up for the year-long delay of Marshmallow rollout in some devices. The Japanese tech giant now confirms that Google's latest operating software will be released before 2016 ends.

Based on leaks, Sony is said to already have a timeline for the roll-out of Android 7.0 Nougat update for Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra, Xperia XZ, Xperia X Performance and Xperia X Compact.

True to earlier speculations, the latest Android OS update will be available first in the company's newest X-series. Hence, Android 7.0 Nougat for Xperia XZ and Xperia X Performance will be the first ones to roll out. These devices will be upgraded from Marshmallow to Nougat before October 2016 ends.

The Android 7.0 Nougat for Xperia X and Xperia X Compact will roll out after a month, speculated to be around November 2016. And on December 2016, the Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium will receive the latest Android OS.

However, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra will be lagging behind and will be receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update in March 2017.

Unfortunately, despite earlier claims by Sony, Nougat will not be available in Z3 Tablet, Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3.

Sony users just have to pray and hope that the company will stick to this timeline and no further delay will be announced.
