San Antonio Spurs LaMarcus Aldridge has been the center of numerous trade rumors the past few weeks. He's been linked to being traded to the Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks by the team. But up until now, none of those happened.

After signing to the Spurs last 2015, he hasn't able to put up an impressive number for the team that he expected to give. Aldridge is only averaging 18.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game last season for the Spurs. It is a big drop in his performance while he was still in the Portland Trail Blazers.

Many pundits are saying that Aldridge is not happy with his current team but Aldridge immediately denies the speculations and praise coach Gregg Popovich system. But it looks like the Spurs is not waiting for him to perform well and likely be traded this season.

According to The Inquisitr, the Spurs and the Phoenix Suns are working on a trade deal that would send Aldridge to the Suns in exchange for rookie Marquese Chriss and a future draft pick. Chriss was originally selected by the Sacramento Kings as their no. 8 pick in 2016 NBA draft but eventually traded to the Suns during draft night.

Coming from the University of Washington, Chriss looks to be ready to hold his own against some the league's premier big man as per stated in the report. He finished third in scoring and first in rebounding among all rookie who played during the preseason games. He can be a big addition to the Spurs future if ever he'll be acquired.

On the other hand, Aldridge could also be a perfect fit to the Suns, according to Morning News USA. Aldridge will be bringing his experience to the frontline of the Suns who had a disappointing performance last season. As for Chriss, he can be coach Pop new artwork that he would mold as the new superstar.

Another possibility is trading Suns guard Brandon Knight to the Spurs in exchange for Aldridge as per stated in the report. The Spurs badly need the support in their backcourt as Tony Parker is approaching retirement. The arrival of Knight could prepare the Spurs if ever Parker decides that this season could be his last.

Will the San Antonio Spurs and Phoenix Suns agree to deal LaMarcus Aldridge, Marquese Chriss or Brandon Knight?
