Good news for Samsung users, Android 7.0 Nougat update for Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5 has been confirmed.

However, an Android 7.0 Nougat Beta version may first be released before the actual and official Android 7.0 Nougat update.

Based on reports, Samsung is already working extensively on the Android 7.0 Nougat update. This is based on the benchmarked results from GFXBench and Geekbench for Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.

Benchmarked data means that Samsung already has a Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge running on Android 7.0 Nougat. And that the company is already testing the smartphones' power and capabilities under the new Android OS.

The Exynos variants of the Samsung Galaxy S7 are the ones being tested so the Android 7.0 Nougat update may first roll-out to Europe before the US.

Reports also say that Android 7.0 Nougat update will be coming to Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5 in the fourth quarter of 2016.

Galaxy Tab S2 will be getting the update in 2017.

Fortunately, Samsung users may not have to wait that long to experience the latest Android OS. Samsung already confirmed that an Android 7.0 Nougat Beta version will be released before the official Nougat update.

This means that Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5 will receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update around October, November or December.

There are reports saying that Android 7.0 Nougat Beta version is already available in Galaxy Note 5. However, it is only available in Galaxy Note 5 in Korea and China.

To enjoy the exciting new features of Android 7.0 Nougat for Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5, users will have to stay tuned for the release of the Beta version first.
